The Gods Lie is only one volume, but it’s really good. Viz Media’s Shojo Beat imprint picks up another short series. So not only is josei MIA, but are they just only interested in short 2 volume manga right now? I guess they won’t be picking up anything major until series like Kiss of the Rose Princess, Maid-sama, and maybe even So Cute It Hurts get closer to ending. A lot of people seem to like The Heiress and the Chauffeur though. I’ll also be picking up Queen Emeraldas just to put my money where my mouth is and showing companies there is a market for classic (non-Tezuka) series.
That being said, Sekai Project entering the manga publishing business is pretty big news. The company is known for translating games, but a new company to publish more manga is always welcome!
