EXPIRED Deal Alert – PSN Flash Sale with Anime Games $8 or Less – Ends Tomorrow!

While PSN (US) is constantly having a flash sale, there’s a couple of anime-related and Japanese-related games in this latest sale. View the full list here, and go here to make your purchases. Better hurry, sale ends Monday at 11 AM Pacific!

Some games that may be of interest include:

Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! (PS3 or PS Vita) – $7.50
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND (PS Vita) – $5.85

Fate/EXTRA (PSP/PS Vita) – $4.00
Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi (PS3) – $7.80
Naruto Shippuden: Un Impact (PSP) – $7.75
One Piece: Pirate Warriors (PS3) – $7.80
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 (PS3) – $7.80
Sweet Fuse: At Your Side (PSP/PS Vita) – $4.00
XBlaze Code: Embryo (PS3 or PS Vita)

Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi is  historical fiction, but it features an excellent storyline even if you’re not a huge romance fan. I would recommend doing Hijikata’s route first since it covers the most history. Like HakuokiSweet Fuse is a good visual novel even if you’re not an otome gamer. It has a lot of video game parodies and features a good mystery story. For the latter, make sure you follow the recommended order of Wakasa –> Meoshi –> Mitarashi –> Urabe –> Shidou –> Shirabe –> Secret. (Although you might not want to end with the secret from a romance perspective. I did Shirabe last.) Regardless, both titles are highly recommended for manga (and anime) fans!

FYI, Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi includes both the enhanced port of Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom (which is on sale here for $4) as well as the never-before-released in English fandisk. So pick up the PS3 Hakuoki game unless you only have a PSP or PS Vita. The base game is getting a PS Vita remake, and I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t make it over here. However, the game is well worth $8 in my opinion since it’s two games in one, and I doubt all the fandisk scenes will be in Shinkai: Kaze no Shou, which is due in Japan next month. This version also features the CGs done by the original artist.

So, are you picking up anything during this sale? Or have you played any of these games before and have an opinion on it? Let me know in the comments!

Four bucks really is a steal. I really wish it had a fandisk, but there’s really not much they could add. I really thought it could be such a good anime.

I tried Sweet Fuse many moons ago, but never finished it. I think my standards are too high after playing games like Steins;Gate, Danganronpa and Virtue’s Last Reward.

Sounds like you prefer more mature visual novels. I keep meaning to start the 999 series, and I’m waiting for the Vita version of Steins;Gate.

For Sweet Fuse, I like it, but there’s definitely more of bottom tier and upper tier when it comes to romance choices, unlike some games where all routes are good. Ultimately, they’re all required to get the full mystery.

Have you tried Hakuoki? It’s rated M and centers around a war. It might be more to your liking.

Steins;Gate on VIta is really good. I have already played it, as Europe got it early for once.

I bought one of the Hakuoki games at a convention, but haven’t unwrapped it yet. I’m not sure if maturity is what makes me read visual novels or a good selection of potential waifus 🙂

Heh, good waifus & husbandos are always awesome. 🙂

And Europe getting something early for once? Holy cow.
