Infinity Dreams Award #2

Infinity Dreams Award

Ignite18 of Marvelously Mismatched nominated me for the Infinity Dreams Award.

Thank you, Ignite18! o(*^▽^*)o~♪ありがとう!!

The Rules:

  • List seven dreams. (They can be personal or website related.)
  • Nominate seven other bloggers/authors/dogs for this award and notify them.

My Dreams:

I did more of my personal dreams last time, so let’s do a license wishlist.

01. (Anime) Kingyou Chuuihou!/Goldfish Warning!
Ah, the classic comedy of an ojou-sama who ends up at an “unrefined” school. You know, a school where slackers, cows, chickens, and super-hyperactive genki girls attend. And let’s not forget her super awesome talking and flying goldfish.

02. (Anime) Macross
Not likely to happen, but I’d like to add this to my backlog watch this classic.

03. (Video game) Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth 2
Region locks suck. I enjoyed the first, and there’s a patch, but the PSP is so much more import and homebrew friendly.

04. (Video game) Tales of Vesperia PS3
I loved the Xbox 360 version, but the PS3 has so much more content. Yeah, there’s the English patch, but…sigh. Two additional playable characters plus other content? Yes, please.

05. (Manga) Candy Candy
A wonderful coming-of-age classic shoujo. If The Rose of Versailles has been picked up, there’s always a chance for Candy Candy. We need more older shoujo, especially since so many modern just focus on how to capture the school prince’s heart.

06. (Manga) Boku wo Tsutsumu Tsuki no Hikari
Come on, it’s the sequel to Please Save My Earth! Please!!! Although I guess the age-gap might present a problem here… Plus I’m sure even the original is hard to sell due to its old-fashioned art style. Such a shame…

07. (Manga) Akatsuki no Yona
Really, there’s a bunch of shoujo titles with recent anime that need to be picked up. You want shoujo to be back on The New York Times Best Sellers list? License some good, much-requested ones.

My Nominees:

  1. Kuro Sama Reviews
  2. Kaizobi
  3. Hot Takes
  4. Rrowbyte
  5. Citrus Anime Reviews
  6. Pop Culture Mecha
  7. Slice of Life

Too bad Shojo Beat is basically saying “screw anything over 2 volumes” right now…

We. Need. More. Yona. I don’t even care if it’s not anime at this point.

I’m hoping Yen Press goes after more Hana to Yume titles, eventually either forcing Shojo Beat to start picking up some of these major longer series or letting companies like Yen Press take them.

Nice list of Shojo manga wishlists. Which one do you want the most in your list?

Oh, dang, that’s a hard one…I’m torn between Candy Candy and BokuTsuki. Part of me wants to say Candy Candy since we need more retro shoujo, but the other part wants to put BokuTsuki next to PSME on my shelves… (Sorry, Yona.) And my mind would explode if either title would be licensed.

I guess in the end…Candy Candy. Since it’s mostly set in the U.S. & England anyway, reading it in English would be more natural.

Interesting. Well you can’t beat the classics. They are the roots for this generation.
