    Happy Halloween!

Balan Wonderland at $4?? That’s crazy, I wish I had a Walmart near me. The game looks fun enough where I’d definitely buy it at that price but not going to pay the going rate for it just yet.

I don’t do any costumes on Halloween but I do use it as a good excuse to get some snacks so I already went and grabbed the trick or treat cookies from Insomnia earlier. A ton of kids and parents wearing Incredible costumes though so I guess people are either rewatching that film or there’s some kind of resurgence I’m not aware of.

      Happy Halloween!

Mmm, cookies, sounds good! That is a surprise to see the Incredibles being so popular right now. I would have guessed like Avengers popular with all the latest movies and Disney+ series.

I did manage to get the last Balan at my nearest store for $4 for PS4. I also picked up a couple of PS5 games (Puyo Puyo Tetris $4, some basketball game for $2) even though I don’t plan on getting one (or finding one, lol!) for a long time. Wouldn’t be surprised though if Balan is around $10 for Black Friday.

Ooof, $4 is a bit steep for Balan Wonderworld… unless they pay ME $4 to take it off their hands? Seriously though, the fall out from the game has brought me much joy this past year. I would be curious to get the Nioh Collection though (I also cannot find a PS5, lol, one day, eventually, when it’s the fastest selling console among humans and not bots)

As for me, I’m still waiting for Sentai’s black friday sale to get started! So much stuff I want!

I’ve read the Balan novel, and I don’t think the game could be much worse than that!

I was surprised Sentai didn’t have an actual sale over Halloween; they had one earlier. Hopefully that means they’re gearing up for a big sale for Black Friday!

The game itself apparently has literally zero of the story, it’s basically all in the novel. I hear the novel is actually fine (especially compared to the game). Then there’s also the issue of the terrible gameplay, which is the major death knell for the game. The amount of terrible gameplay in it is pretty staggering from what I’ve seen on youtube. It looks passable, but people explain it and it’s just not. The character models and environments are fine, it’s a shame they weren’t in a game with better gameplay.

The novel had some interesting plot points, but so much of it is the same situation repeated a dozen times. So annoying! Plus the formatting was bad. The novel should have been scrapped and just include a story mode in the game.
