Who are meaner, boys or girls? While middle and high school females are seen as particularly vicious, studies suggest it’s the opposite. However, other studies hint that the long-held belief that women hold grudges longer than men is, in fact, true.

Well, from my personal observations and experience as a female… we women do not forget, and we are incredibly hard on our gender. I could go into the reasons why, from heavily gendered insults to media portrayals to psychological defense mechanisms, but that’s a topic for another day.

In fact, many of you are probably wondering why I brought it up in the first place. It’s quite simple: I hate Hojo from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, but I hate Lucrecia.

So, anybody remember this announcement?

Sailor Moon Kodansha 1“Hooray!” the anime community cheered. “A major title that didn’t even use the characters’ real names is being rescued! I can retire my old Americanized, error-filled Tokyopop versions!”

Yes, one of the features Kodansha Comics USA touted when they rescued the Sailor Moon manga was “an entirely new, incredibly accurate translation”. Awesome, right?

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy

So, evidently there’s some game called Final Fantasy XV. I heard it comes out today. Never heard of it either. It don’t know anything about the two copies expected to be delivered to me today along with a third I thought was cancelled. ♪～(￣ε￣；)

But one of the most common questions any Final Fantasy player is asked is, “What is the best Final Fantasy?”

It’s a trap! There is no best Final Fantasy!

So here are some of the highlights and lowlights of each game. What I list may not the absolute best or worst parts of the game, but it should give you an idea of why no game definitely ranks at the top or bottom. That, and otherwise all the answers would probably be “story”, “music”, or “battle system”.

I was only going through the main games plus a few of the major sequels/spin-offs, but I updated this post with a good portion of the Final Fantasy series. Spoilers ahoy!
