Thank you for your service to all the US current and former military out there. Lots of places are offering free meals or extra discounts today, although be sure to check requirements. Some is open to anyone who served, others only retired, some only current military. Places like Golden Corral require no proof of service, others your DD214 or military ID card.

For everyone else, though, a lot of places are honoring military and trying to take advantage of the holiday shopping season with offer open to everyone.

Also, I’d like to thank the current snowstorm for completely ruining my day today…

Well, “Prime Day” is a bit of a misnomer — it covers today and tomorrow. But whether you have an Amazon Prime account or not (and see below for free trials if you don’t have one to get on the deals!), don’t worry — other stores are looking to steal Amazon’s thunder with their own offers. Most of these specials run for two days, but some may change offers tomorrow.
